hi, i'm rak-sha (she/her)
hi, i'm rak-sha (she/her)
I am a UX designer and researcher who blends creativity and critical inquiry to make technology more human(e). With a background in architecture and design research, I craft thoughtful, data-informed experiences that bridge people, culture, and emerging technology.
Recently, I shaped AI-driven website generation for Butternut AI, designed health tracking experiences and Netflix’s media management system while at the University of Michigan. My design approach is grounded in HCI principles, most recently applied in a qualitative study of a peer-to-peer Facebook marketplace community in the Global South, where I led interview analysis and literature synthesis to extend vulnerability-centric privacy frameworks to better reflect culturally grounded practices; work that received conditional acceptance at CHI 2026.
During my downtime, you can find me sketching ideas over coffee, dancing, or exploring local trails. Currently exploring how tools like Cursor and Lovable can amplify UX research and design while looking for my next opportunity!
